Hartford Marriott Downtown Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

On Sunday, October 14, approximately 6,000 people gathered in Bushnell Park in Hartford for the annual American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk which raised a total of $325,000 for breast cancer research.  Over 40 associates from the Marriott Hartford Downtown participated in the event.  Hotel associates were sponsored by friends and family, and ultimately raised a grand total of $3,070 for the cause.
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is a noncompetitive walk to help fight breast cancer and provide hope to people facing the disease. Participation supports the American Cancer Society's life-saving research, prevention, early detection, and support programs for thousands of patients and their families.
