Series 2 Farmer's Dinner

"The Peak of the Season" 

The second in a three part series, this Farmer's Dinner is focusing on the peak of the season and will feature a reception, with speakers from local farms, followed by a four course menu featuring locally grown produced and harvested items from this regions best source of sustainable foods. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Connecticut Farmland Trust, whose sole mission is to permanently protect Connecticut's farmland.

Little shots of sweet corn bisque
Roasted native mussel and eggplant caponata on Crostini   
1st course
 12 green mix with heirloom tomatoes white balsamic jelly and extra virgin olive oil
2nd course
Organic Farm raised Scottish Salmon with native cucumber and Sunchoke "gazpacho"
Baby leek and sorrel fondue  
3rd course
Roasted Copper Ridge Prime Sirloin crusted with herbs
 Summer succotash of silver corn, red runner beans and sweet pepper au jus
4th course
Toasted Native Peach crepe with Blackberry Ice cream
